Despite these escalating risks, a 2023 FEMA national survey found that:

• 49% of Americans admitted they were unprepared for extreme weather.

• 66% of people worried about lacking the necessities to respond effectively to disasters

The opportunity

The FEMA research also showed that people were 5x more likely to take emergency action if they had already encountered preparedness information.

However, current communications from government authorities and NGOs are either difficult to understand, hard to access, or both - especially in the run up to a potential crisis.

The solution

DO THIS NOW is creating a non-profit to deliver accessible and actionable preparedness tools, powered by expert knowledge from trusted NGOs, direct to US and UK residents.
